After a long gap, actor Navdeep came up as the lead hero on the big screen with Love Mouli. He introduced himself as Navdeep 2.0. The promotional content has created a huge buzz among the moviegoers and let’s see how the film is.
Love Mouli’s story is about true love. Mouli has a dark past and with that, he doesn’t believe in love. All of a sudden, he gets the power to create a woman he likes with his magical painting brush. Chitra comes into his life and how his life is affected is the rest of the story.
Love Mouli has a simple storyline but the way it is narrated makes the film unique. The first half makes us feel bored with the snail-paced screenplay, though it has beautiful locations. The second half picks up the pace and makes us invested in the story until the climax.
Kudos to Navdeep for picking up this bold subject. His characterization is the biggest asset of the film and he did his best. Pankhuri Gidwani shined on her role and the rest of the cast did their best. Rana Daggubati’s cameo shocks us.
Technically Love Mouli is good, special mention for location scouters. The majority of the film was shot in Meghalaya and the locations were phenomenal. Music by Govind Vasantha is good but not impactful and Ajay Sivasanker’s cinematography is good.
Director Avaneendra chose a simple story but he presented it in a very different way. Despite snail-paced narration, he succeeded in engaging the audiance.
Overall, Love Mouli is a decent watch but not for everyone.
