The Malayalam film industry has been experimenting with the genres in limited budgets and in this process, they have come up with the dark comedy genre recently with the film titled “Maranamass,” starring Basil Joseph in the lead role.
The crime element and comedy were nicely blended in this movie plot, but the result was not as expected in Kerala. It is now coming to the OTT platform soon as the theatrical run is exhausted. The OTT streaming rights for this movie are acquired by the Sony LIV OTT platform and it premieres on May 15, 2025.
It will be available in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada audios on the same day. It starred Basil Joseph, Rajesh Madhavan, Siju Sunny, Puliyanam Poulose, Suresh Krishna, Babu Antony, Anishma Anilkumar, and a few others.
Directed by Sivaprasad, this film was produced by Tovino Thomas, Rapheal Pozholiparambil, Tingston Thomas, and Thanzeer Salam. JK composed the music, Neeraj Revi handled the camera, and Chaman Chakko is the editor.
