Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam Review: Simple Yet Funny

Character artist Rao Ramesh turned into the lead hero in the film Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam. The film is produced by renowned director Sukumar’s wife Tabitha Sukumar.

Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam has generated enough buzz after Allu Arjun graced the pre-release event. Now, the film has been released in theaters. Let’s find out what the film is like.

The plot revolves around a jobless Subramanyam (Rao Ramesh). He wanted to do a government job but he failed to get the job after many attempts. Subramanyam becomes jobless and relies on Kala Rani’s (Indraja) income. One fine day, a rupee of 10 lakhs was deposited in his account. What happened next is the crux of the story.

Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam has a relatable story and is narrated with humor. The middle class premise and the story revolves around the middle class has become a USP in recent times.

This film has an intresting storyline, and has many fun moments which make us engage through the first half. However, the second half falls flat with an engaging screenplay. Though the second has comedy, the story stumbled.

Rao Ramesh is the biggest asset for the film, his comedy timing is next level. Ankith Koyya is good in his role. However, scenes between Rao Ramesh and Ankith Koyya worked quite well. Indraja, Ajay, Ramya Pasupuleti, Harsha Vardhan, and the rest of the cast did ok job.

Director Lakshman Karya came up with a relatable plot and he engagingly narrated the film. However, he partially failed to engage in the second half.

Overall, Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam is a decent film with fun moments. One should watch for comedy.
