Nelson Dilipkumar Education
Nelson attended New College, Chennai, and earned a degree in visual communication. At the beginning of his career, Nelson worked as an assistant script writer for Star Vijay. With the assistance of Anirudh Ravichander, Nelson wrote and directed the dark comedy Kolamaavu Kokila, which starred Nayanthara. With a release date of August 17th, 2018, the film was a huge success for Lyca Productions. Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan starred in their next film, Doctor. After the lockdowns caused by the pandemic, the film was one of the biggest successes in Tamil.
Nelson Dilipkumar Early Life
Nelson began production on Vettai Mannan in 2010, which was supposed to be his directorial debut. Silambarasan, Jai, Hansika Motwani, and Deeksha Seth were set to star in this film which was set to be produced by S. S. Chakravarthy of NIC Arts and to include music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. However, the film was abandoned in the middle of production for reasons that remain unclear. In 2017, an attempt was made to restart production with a new cast and crew, including the replacement of composer Yuvan Shankar Raja with Anirudh Ravichander. The initiative, however, never recovered its previous momentum.

Anirudh Ravichander, a close friend of Nelson’s, recommended him to direct Actor Vijay’s 65th film in November of 2020. Because of this, on April 13, 2022, he was able to direct Beast as a movie that was shown all over India. The name of Nelson’s upcoming film helmed by Superstar Rajnikanth, Thalaivar 169, is Jailer.
