Remaking theatrical films into other regional languages is very common, but the OTT platforms are remaking few series into other regional languages, like “Baai Tujhyapayi,” which is an official remake of the Tamil series “Ayali.”
The trailer for this new remake series was dropped on YouTube and the makers confirmed that the series will be available for streaming on the Zee5 platform, which also streamed the original, on October 31, 2025.
Kshitee Jog, Sajiri Joshi, Siddhesh Dhuri, Shivraj Waichal, Vibhavari Deshpande, Anil More, Anil Kamble, Gautami Kachi, and a few others are part of the series cast.
Set in rural Maharashtra in the 1990s, this series focuses on the societal restrictions on degrading women for ages. Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari is the director for this Marathi remake, where the Tamil original was directed by Muthukumar.
