She went to Tilak Nagar High School in Dombivli, Maharashtra, and then she and four of her friends were homeschooled. Her grandmother Madhumalati Apte, a mathematician with a Ph.D. from France, was her primary teacher throughout her education. Apte spent eight years studying the Kathak dance form in addition to his formal education. She graduated from Fergusson College, Pune, with a BA in Economics and Mathematics.

Radhika was born on September 7, 1985 (she is 33 as of 2018) in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India, to a family of Marathi Hindus. Charudutt Apte Sr. is the chairman of the neurosurgery department of Pune’s Sahyadri Hospital, and he is her father. Similarly to her, her mother has a medical background. Ketan Apte is her brother.
When she was 18, she began acting in Marathi plays. Her first play, named “Nako Re Baba,” debuted in 2003. Purnaviram, Tu, Kanyadaan, Matra Ratra, Brain Surgeon, That Time, and Bombay Black are just a few of the subsequent Hindi and English plays she has acted in. Thereafter, she played Binodini in the Hindi adaptation of “Stories by Rabindranath Tagore.” She played the lead role and co-wrote the script for the 2018 Bollywood film “Lust Stories.” She also appeared in the same year’s “PadMan” alongside Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor. In the Netflix horror miniseries “Ghoul,” Apte portrayed the character Nida Rahim (2018). Her work in the online series catapulted her to stardom. The short films “Darmiyan,” “Vakratunda Swaha,” “That Day After Every Day,” and “The Calling” all include Radhika in some capacity.
