Her grandmother Madhumalati Apte, a mathematician with a Ph.D. from France, was her primary teacher throughout her education. Apte spent eight years studying the Kathak dance form in addition to his formal education. She graduated from Fergusson College, Pune, with a BA in Economics and Mathematics.

When she was 18, she began acting in Marathi plays. Her first play, named “Nako Re Baba,” debuted in 2003. In the Netflix horror miniseries “Ghoul,” Apte portrayed the character Nida Rahim (2018). Her work in the online series catapulted her to stardom. The short films “Darmiyan,” “Vakratunda Swaha,” “That Day After Every Day,” and “The Calling” all include Radhika in some capacity.
