On January 26, 1968, he was born in Jaggampeta, Andhra Pradesh, India, to Raj Gopal Raju and Rajya Lakshmi Bhupatiraju. His parents’ occupations were those of pharmacist and housewife, respectively. The other two sons, actors Bharath and Raghu, are his younger brothers.
