It looks like the Netflix OTT platform has aimed to make it big in the Tamil region, as it has already brought the streaming rights of some much-awaited crazy movies in Tamil that are yet to release in theaters.
Actor Suriya starrer “Retro” is one of the most hyped movies to release in 2025, and now the Netflix OTT platform has already purchased the OTT streaming rights for this movie for a whopping price. After the successful theatrical run, this movie is now all set to premiere on the platform in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi simultaneously on May 31, 2025.
Directed by the talented Karthik Subbaraj, this film is produced by Suriya and Jyothika under their home banner, 2D Entertainment. Santhosh Narayanan composed the music, and Shreyaas Krishna handled the camera.
Alongside Suriya, the cast of this movie includes Joju George, Jayaram, Pooja Hegde, Nassar, Prakash Raj, Nandita Das, Karunakaran, Baby Aavni, Sujith Shankar, and a few others.
