Movie studios quickly took notice of his abilities, and he was offered the chance to score the now-renamed musical thriller Puriyatha Puthir (formerly titled Mellisai). When the directing team of Pushkar and Gayathri were casting for their next film, Vikra, they approached him about composing the score.
