Sammathame Telugu Movie Review: After a string of successful films, including Raaja Vaaru Raani Vaaru, SP Kalyana Mandapam, and Sebastian, director Kiran Abbavaram is back with the family drama Sammathame. The teaser and trailer look promising and new, but the film’s makers insist that they’re telling a novel tale of family romance in Indian cinema.
Story
While growing up, Krishna (Kiran Abbavaram) encountered many difficulties due to his belief that the house would be a better place if he had female caregivers. Saanvi (Chandini Chowdary), the polar opposite of Krishna, eventually falls in love with him, but the difficulty develops in the relationship because Krishna becomes unduly concerned about Saanvi di’s well-being, much to Saanvi’s dismay.

Movie Verdict
The filmmakers of Sammathame claim to be telling a new narrative, but after watching the first ten minutes, you’ll see that it’s a standard love story about a middle-class man who meets a lady who is the polar opposite of him and who wants marriage while the girl wants love.
The first half of the film featured some amusing scenes centered on the characters’ romance, and then the focus moved to the film’s conclusion, which, as Kiran Abbavaram said in an interview, was beautifully depicted on screen.
It’s admirable that a new viewpoint on relationships is being explored, but the filmmaker needs to script some powerful scenes to convey the message.
Despite the fact that he had experience playing characters from the middle class, Kiran Abbavaram’s portrayal of Krishna was effortless. Chandini’s portrayal of Saanvi, on the other hand, came across as flat and lifeless. The other characters, on the other hand, all performed admirably.
Gopinath Reddy has a good idea, but his writing isn’t as engaging as it could have been.
Although the film’s technical aspects are lacking, the photography by Sateesh Reddy Masam and the soundtrack by Shekar Chandra are both excellent.
Last but not least, Sammathame is a watchable family drama and romance picture that you should give a shot if you enjoy either genre.
