Both his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and his Bachelor of Law were earned in Chennai’s Rajapalayam Rajus College and Ambedkar Law College, respectively. After finishing school, he entered the film industry with grand plans of becoming a household name.
Samuthirakani Early Life
On April 26, 1973 he was born in Seithur, which is close to Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu. Both his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and his Bachelor of Law were earned at Chennai’s Rajapalayam Rajus College and Ambedkar Law College, respectively. After finishing school, he entered the film industry with grand plans of becoming a household name. On the other hand, he had to overcome many obstacles due to his physique before he could start acting. He persisted in his efforts. In Pandiarajan’s ‘Padikkira Vayasu,’ he was given the opportunity to say only one line.
Samuthirakani Career
The legendary filmmaker K. Balachander hired him initially as an assistant. Nadodigal, a film he directed, premiered in 2009 and was such a success that it was adapted into three other languages.
Then, in 1997, he began working for aspiring director K Vijayan as an assistant. Samuthirakani caught the eye of the well-known filmmaker recently known as Iyakkunar Sigaram K Balachander because of his consistent work in the industry. After that, Samuthirakani was cast in “Paarthale Paravasam,” one of his 100th film projects.
After that, he got the chance to play Balachander’s assistant in the mega-hit television series Anni, Arasi, and Selvi. The majority of American housewives watched these serials and thought they were fantastic. Then he began writing scenes and dialogue, tapping into his latent abilities as a storyteller. From mega-serials to feature film helmer, his humble but brilliant output was consistent.
The novels “Unnai Charan Adainthen” and “Kani” are among his most impressive works. “If a project is a smash, it gets accolades, and if unfavorable, the director is the bearer,” was one of his most famous quotes at the time.
When Paruthiveeran needed an assistant, he went to work for director Ameer. The breakthrough came when director Sasikumar cast him in a significant role in Subramaniapuram; subsequent films like Eesan and Porali confirmed his acting chops. The actor won the Best Character Artist Award from Ananda Vikatan for his performance as a police officer in the film Visaranai.
