Sidharth Malhotra received his B.Com from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi, after attending Don Bosco School and Birla Vidya Niketan in Delhi.

Sidharth Malhotra Early Life

Sidharth was born in Delhi, India on January 16, 1985 (making him 37 years old as of 2022). Ever since he was a kid, he’s been performing in plays.

At the tender age of 16, he made his acting debut in the TV series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, playing the character of Jaichand, the younger brother of Prithviraj Chauhan. He tried his hand at modelling after this show but was unsuccessful. After a long uphill battle, he finally made it big in the modelling industry. After appearing in ad campaigns for world-renowned Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, he was quickly signed by a number of major publications. These included Redbook, Gladrags, and Men’s Health. He was a successful model who left the industry because he was unhappy there. Shortly after, he was cast in a film directed by Anubhav Sinha. However, the film was halted for unclear reasons.

Beginning his acting career, he even had a little role as a clapper in the film Ra One, starring Shahrukh Khan. The films “My Name is Khan” and “Dostana” were among those on which he served as Assistant Director before he finally broke through.

Despite coming from a Punjabi background, Sidharth was born in Delhi. His dad, Sunil, was a captain in the Merchant Marines, and mom, Rimma, stayed at home to raise him. He is the only sibling of financier Harshad Malhotra.

Sidharth’s early fascination with the entertainment industry began with his participation in a television serial, stoked by his interest in both acting and sports. His modelling career took off when he was 18 years old and flourished for another four years before he decided to leave the industry. When he was just starting out, legendary designer Manish Malhotra gave him some advice.

His 2012 debut film, “Student of the Year (SOTY),” was a commercial triumph, marking his entry into Bollywood. He co-starred opposite Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor in 2014’s Ek Villian. Successful at the box office, “100 Crore Club” is an indication of the film’s success. In 2016, he co-starred with Rishi Kapoor, Fawad Khan, and Alia Bhatt in the family drama “Kapoor & Sons.”
