Srinidhi Ramesh Shetty entered this world on October 21, 1992, in the Indian city of Mangalore, Karnataka. She attended both Sri Narayana Guru English Medium School and St. Aloysius Pre-University College in Mangalore for her formal education. In addition, she earned a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jain University in Bangalore. Srinidhi was not just a top student but also a frequent participant in campus fashion displays.
Srinidhi’s parents, Ramesh Shetty and the late Kushala Shetty, are devout Hindus from Karnataka, where she was born. While she was in the 10th grade, she lost her mother to illness. Amrita Shetty and Priyanka Shetty are her sisters. Out of the three girls, Srinidhi is the youngest.
Srinidhi Shetty Career
Srinidhi was an NCC cadet and a regular at campus fashion shows back when she was a student. Srinidhi quit her job at Accenture and entered several beauty contests. Her father encouraged her to pursue a career as a model. She was a contender for the top five spots in the 2012 Clean & Clear Fresh Face competition. As a result, Srinidhi won the 2015 titles of Mannapuram Miss South India, Miss Karnataka, and Miss Beautiful Smile. She competed for the title of Mannapuram Miss Queen and placed second.
Srinidhi was named “Miss Supranational” on 2 December 2016 in Poland at the Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva Supranational pageant, and she was also named “Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania” for the same year.
In the 2018 Kannada period action film K.G.F: Chapter 1, Shetty makes her acting debut opposite Yash. Prashanth Neel helmed the project. She gave life to the character of Reena Desai, a strong-willed young woman. All of the actors received high marks for their roles. The movie made over 250 crore at the box office.
She played Reena again in 2022’s K.G.F: Chapter 2, the film’s sequel. Though the film as a whole was well-received, critics had nothing but praise for Shetty’s polarising character. India Today called the part “very disappointing and problematic,” but the film nonetheless managed to make between $1.20 and $1.25 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Indian film of 2022 and the third-highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Cobra, an action thriller starring Vikram and herself, marked her debut in Tamil that same year. In terms of money, the film was a flop, earning only 40 crore. India Today called Shetty’s portrayal of Bhavana Menon, a criminology professor, “insignificant.”
