Multitalented Kamal Haasan and maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam have reunited for a film titled “Thug Life” after a long gap. This most hyped movie received a disastrous response in the theaters, pushing the OTT streaming date a few days earlier.
Kamal Haasan played a thug role in this film and it is a gangster action drama. The film was released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, but the response was not as expected by the makers.
Thug Life OTT rights were acquired by Netflix. Netflix planned to release the movie only after 8 weeks from the theatrical release, but with the response it received in theaters, they released the movie today, July 03, 2025, on their platform.
Thug Life has a stellar cast of Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Abhirami, Nasser, and a few others.
Mani Ratnam directed the film, while the camera was handled by Ravi K. Chandran, A.R. Rahman composed the music, and the film was produced by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran & Siva Ananth.
