Here are the latest updates of Bollywood upcoming film Toofan OTT Release Date, Digital, Satellite Rights & More. Recently, actor Farhan Akhtar has announced his new release “Toofan” OTT release date on twitter. The film, which was earlier scheduled to release on May 21 and was postponed due to the outbreak of the second wave of the coronavirus, will now stream on Amazon Prime Video on July 16.
Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Toofan (2021) has Farhan playing a national-level boxing player. It also stars other actors including Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Hussain Dalal. According to the makers, the film “presents the story of a goon from the streets of Dongri set against the backdrop of boxing, his fall and triumphant comeback against all odds in life.”

Bollywood multi-talented hero, singer, producer, distributor Farhan Akhtar is one of the finest actors in Bollywood. His latest film “Toofan” was supposed to be released in theaters but could not own the release due to the Second Wave. It is learned that Amazon Prime has acquired the digital release rights of the film at a rate of Rs 85 crore. Even if the film is released at the box office, there is little belief that it will achieve such a big collection. In that respect the team can be said to have hit the jackpot with this rate. It remains to be seen whether Farhan Akhtar will come to success path or not.
Farhan Akhtar-starrer Toofan will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 16. The boxing drama, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, was earlier set to stream from May 21. However, it was delayed due to the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic.

Rakeysh and Farhan had previously collaborated on the sports biopic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013). Farhan’s last acting appearance was in The Sky Is Pink in 2019. He’s also rumoured to feature in Disney’s Ms Marvel miniseries.
