Varalaxmi’s father, actor Ramanathan Sarathkumar, and her mother, herself an actor, both go by the name Chaya Sarathkumar. Raadhika Sarathkumar, well-known actress, is her stepmother. She’s the eldest of four kids; her younger siblings include sister Pooja, half-brother Rahul, and step-sister Rayanne Hardy.

When Radhika was just 18 years old, she was offered the role of a lifetime in the film Shankar’s Boys, but she refused the role at her father’s insistence, opting instead to stay out of the entertainment world until she had finished her schooling.
