Vineet had planned on attending the National School of Drama in New Delhi, but after succeeding on the Combined Pre-Medical Test (CPMT), he decided to pursue a degree in Ayurvedic medicine, conventional medicine, and surgery instead. Vineet attended Nagpur’s Government Medical College and Hospital to earn his MD (Doctor of Medicine) in ophthalmology.

On Monday, August 24, 1981 (or 41 years ago as of 2022), Vineet Kumar Singh was born in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Vineet was born under the Virgo star sign. In the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, he hails from the city of Ghazipur. Vineet’s dream job has been in the entertainment industry ever since he was a little kid. The only problem was that Vineet’s dad really wanted him to pursue mathematics instead of performing.
Shivram Singh, Vineet’s dad, is a professor of mathematics. His mom is a stay-at-home person. One of Vineet’s three brothers is a professor, and he also has two sisters named Mukti Singh Srinet and Tripti Singh. Vineet married his longtime partner, the actor Ruchiraa Gormaray, on November 29, 2021. They got married in Nagpur amongst their closest friends and relatives.

As soon as Vineet finished his master’s degree in Nagpur in December 1999, he relocated to Mumbai in pursuit of acting roles. Vineet competed in and won a talent show called Superstar Talent Hunt. Mahesh Manjrekar, an Indian actor and director and one of the judges at the Superstar Talent Hunt competition, offered him a small role in the film Pitaah, which starred Sanjay Dutt, but the film bombed at the box office. Vineet began working as an assistant director for Mahesh Manjrekar after the release of his first film. He worked with Manjrekar on six films, including Rakht (2004), Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav (2005), Viruddh (2005), and Deha (2005). (2007). Later, he acted in some Bhojpuri television shows to fill his financial necessities. When Vineet decided to dedicate himself fully to acting in 2007, he left his position as an assistant director.
Mukkabaaz is a Bollywood film that Vineet co-wrote with his sister, Mukti Singh Srinet. He composed lyrics for the title track of the film Ugly (2013) and for the song Paintra from the film Mukkabaaz (2018). (2018). Vineet made his acting debut as Bhola opposite Sanjay Dutt in the 2002 film Pitaah.
His first film role was as the cab driver Dubey in the 2009 Marathi film Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy. In the 2011 film Ami Subhash Bolchi, Vineet performed the part of Dubey, marking his first acting job in Bengali. As Danish Khan in the 2012 and 2013 Bollywood films Gangs of Wasseypur: Part 1 and Part 2, he became a household name.
Vineet played the lead character of Shravan Kumar Singh in the 2018 Bollywood film Mukkabaaz, after he had struggled for eighteen years to achieve fame. Later, he made appearances in films such as Gold (2018) as Imtiaz Shah, Saand Ki Aankh (2019) as Dr. Yashpal, and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2019) as Dileep Singh (2020). Vineet made his first appearance online in 2019 when he portrayed Veer Singh in the Netflix web series Bard of Blood. He played Vikram Sirohi in the 2020 Netflix web series Betaal.
