Vivek Education

He attended both Govt Boys High School in Pallipalayam, Tamil Nadu, and G.H.S.S. Vannavasi, Tamil Nadu, for his formal education. A graduate of American College, Madurai, he went on to work in commerce. Following that, he got his education at SRM Arts & Science College in Tamil Nadu and then at Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS), also in Tamil Nadu. He went on to earn a master’s degree in business.

Born on a Sunday, 19 November 1961 (he was 59 years old when he passed away) in Nalla Village, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu, Vivekanandan was more commonly known by his nickname, Vivek. Scorpio is his zodiac sign.

His paternal grandparents’ names are Angayya and Maniyammal. He and his wife, Arulselvi Vivek, had two daughters, Tejaswini and Amritha Nandini. Prasanna Kumar, his son, was only 13 when he died from complications of dengue and brain fever.

His first job was with the government of Tamil Nadu, and in his spare time he performed stand-up comedy at the Madras Humor Club. After a while, he transferred to the University of Madras in Chennai and resumed his work with the Madras Humor Club. P. R. Govindarajan, the club’s founder, later put him in touch with Indian film director K. Balachandar, where Vivek eventually found work as a screenplay.

In 1987’s “Manathil Uruthi Vendum,” he was working as a scriptwriter for a Tamil film when director K. Balachandarn approached him about acting in the film as the brother of Suhasini (a South Indian actress). Early in his career, he appeared in Tamil films like “Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal” (1989), “Oru Veedu Iru Vasal” (1990), “Vanaja Girija” (1994), “Muthukulikka Vaariyala” (1995), and “Mayabazar” (1996) in supporting roles (1995).

His career took off once he began portraying comic roles in Tamil films in 1996. His most famous works include the Tamil movies “Anniyan” (2005), “Sivaji” (2007), “Velaiyilla Pattathari” (2014), “VIP 2” (2017), and “Dharala Prabhu” (2019). (2020). By 2021, he had appeared in almost 220 films; his final role was in the film Indian 2. (2021).
