Khan has established himself as one of the most well-known and reliable artists in Indian theatre over the course of his 30-year career. As well as the Academy Award nomination for one of his pictures, Khan has won a number of grants, including the 9 Film fare Grant, 4 National Film Grants, and an AACTA Grant. The Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010, and the Government of China presented him with a respectful object in 2017.

Aamir said in an interview that the family went through a rough financial patch because his father’s movies consistently bombed. He went on to say that he was constantly anxious about being dismissed from school due to lack of tuition payment. He added that they would be inundated with calls from lenders demanding repayment at the rate of thirty per day.
Aamir attended the J.B. Petit School in Mumbai, St. Anne’s High School in Bandra, Mumbai, and the Bombay Scottish School in Mahim, Mumbai for his secondary education. After finishing 12th grade, he decided not to pursue further education. He made his acting debut in what is widely regarded as the first Bollywood masala film, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, in which he played a young boy. That was back when he was only eight years old.

On March 14, 1965, Aamir Khan entered this world in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. His father worked as a film producer, and his uncle was a director, thus he comes from a family with a history in the cinematic arts. Aamir’s first film role was in the movie Yaadon Ki Baaraat, which he played in as a young actor (1973).
Aamir’s great-grand uncle was freedom warrior and founder of the Khilafat movement, Abul Kalam Azad. Aamir wanted to honour his great-grand uncle, so he gave his second kid the name Azad Rao Khan. At the tender age of sixteen, Aamir helped his buddy and fellow filmmaker Aditya Bhattacharya on the set of their feature film Paranoia. The roles in the successful films Darr, Swades, Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun originally intended for Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Salman Khan. He has served as an official ambassador for UNICEF and was named one of Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World” in 2013.
Aamir Khan was born to the Sunni Muslim producers Tahir Hussain and Zeenat Hussain, who were both from middle-class families in India. Two younger sisters, Farhat Khan and Nikhat Khan, and an older sibling, Faisal Khan, complete his family.
He met and eventually married Reena Dutta. It was in 2002 when the pair finally ended their relationship. Aamir was single for three years before he met and married Kiran Rao in 2005. Through surrogacy, Aamir and his second wife welcomed their son, Azad Rao Khan, into the world. He joins Aamir’s biological son, Junaid, and daughter, Ira Khan. At the age of sixteen, Aamir assisted his friend and fellow filmmaker Aditya Bhattacharya on the set of their silent experimental film, Paranoia. Aamir did not have enough money to buy posters to advertise his film, so he and his co-star, Raj Zutshi, went out onto the streets and plastered the posters themselves.
After a string of four failures in a row in 1990, he finally found success with Indra Kumar’s film Dil. Aamir was executing a stunt for the film Ghulam in which he was racing on a railway track towards an incoming train; he narrowly avoided being hit by the locomotive when he jumped off the track at the last possible moment, by 1.3 seconds. At the 44th Filmfare Awards, Aamir was presented with the Best Sequence Award for his work on this scene, but he declined the honour.
Audiences everywhere adored his film Raja Hindustani, which was a commercial smash. When he kissed actress Karisma Kapoor in a scene, it was the longest kiss in Bollywood history. In the film Lagaan, he had a performance that was so outstanding that it earned an Oscar nomination.
Aamir Khan was supposed to play Raju Rastogi in 3 Idiots, but he ended up taking on the part of Rancho, and the result was a critical and commercial success. Satyamev Jayate, an Indian chat show he created in 2012, ran for three seasons and eight languages across Star Plus, STAR World, and Doordarshan. Because to Aamir’s stellar performance, Dangal not only broke records as the highest-grossing film in China in 2017, but also as the first Indian film to earn over Rs. 2,000 crores (about $600 million) worldwide. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has appointed Aamir as an official ambassador. Aamir is beloved by people all across the world, not only in India. The global icon Jackie Chan is reportedly a huge fan of his work. He appeared in the 2018 film Thugs of Hindostan directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and based on the made-up novel Confessions of a Thug.
