Arvind Swamy Upcoming Movies List: Arvind Swamy is a well-known Indian actor, although it is in Tamil cinema that he has found the most success. First appearing in the 1991 drama film Thalapathi directed by Mani Ratnam, he went on to star in Roja (1992) and Bombay (1993), both of which Ratnam also directed (1995). Arvind went on to star in films like Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthey (2000), Rajiv Menon’s Minsaara Kanavu, and the Malayalam film Devaraagam (2000).
Arvind spent ten years working in fields as varied as engineering erection and building, international trade, and worldwide outsourcing before making his acting comeback in Mani Ratnam’s 2013 film Kadal. His villainous turn in Thani Oruvan (2015) had him portraying a negative character. Thani Oruvan, a thriller directed by Mohan Raja and also starring Jayam Ravi and Nayantara, was the only film in which the actor appeared in 2015. Arvind won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Tamil for his amazing performance.
His debut book, Dear Dad, a coming-of-age novel packed of drunken adventures, random encounters, and confessions, was released in 2016. His supporting roles include Dhurva (2016) and Bogan (2017). (2017). His 2018 Tamil film releases include Bhaskar Oru Rascal and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.
