Actor Riteish Deshmukh has great stardom in the Marathi film industry and he always loved making a film on the legendary Chatrapathi Shivaji. He finally made a film under his own direction titled “Raja Shivaji,” which released in theaters in 2026.
The OTT streaming rights for this film were acquired by the Netflix OTT platform and started streaming this film on their platform in Marathi and Hindi on June 26, 2026.
This film starred Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Genelia Deshmukh, Vidya Balan, Salman Khan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Fardeen Khan, Bhagyashree, Sachin Khedekar, and a few others.
Despite the hype this film received, it remained an average performer at the box office but also shattered a few records in the Marathi industry. It is now streaming on OTT without any prior announcement.
Directed by Riteish Deshmukh, this film was produced by Jyoti Deshpande & Genelia Deshmukh. Ajay-Atul composed the music, Santosh Sivan handled the camera, and Urvashi Saxena is the editor.
