After the huge popularity of the ‘Kumkumapoovu’ television series, she also appeared in a handful of films. She was cast in critically praised films including “Friday” and “Parvathy.” She first came to prominence alongside Mohanlal in Major Ravi’s breakthrough film, Karmayodha. Asha has recently had another major part breakthrough in the film ‘Drishyam,’ in which she plays an Indian Police Service officer. Her performance was so well received that she was offered the chance to star alongside Kamal Haasan in the sequel to “Papanasam.”
