Atul Gogavale Early Life

On September 11, 1974 (he will be 46 in 2020), Atul was born in the Alandi neighbourhood of Pune, Maharashtra. A Virgo, like him! Due to his father’s job, he moved around from village to village and school to school before finally finishing his education in Pune.

Ashok Gogavale was the name of his father who was a tax collector. Ajay Gogavale, his younger brother, is also a successful musician, director, and composer in India. His wife’s name is Poonam Gogavale, and they have two children.

From their homeland of Pune, Atul and his brother Ajay relocated to the musical mecca of Mumbai. Soon, they got an offer to compose music in the international non-film music album, “Vishwavinayaka.” They got their start writing jingles and advertising music. Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, and Telugu are only some of the languages whose films have music composed by Atul and Ajay. The brothers received their big break in the Hindi film ‘Gayab’ (2004), when they composed the score. Films like ‘Viruddh… Family Comes First’ (2005), ‘Ek Daav Dhobi Pachhad’ (2009), ‘Singham’ (2011), ‘Agneepath’ (2012), ‘Bol Bachchan’ (2012), ‘Lai Bhaari’ (2014), ‘PK’ (2014), ‘Sairat’ (2016), ‘Dhadak’ (2018), ‘Tanhaji’ (2020), and ‘Chatrapati Shivaj (2021).

In addition to scoring films, they have also worked on a number of albums, such as 2001’s “Vishwavinayak,” 2002’s “Shri Ram Mantra,” 2003’s “Bedhund,” and 2005’s “Vishwatma” (2006).
