Bobby Deol Biography

Bobby Deol Education

He attended Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai & Mayo College in Ajmer for primary education and then transferred to SMithibai College in Mumbai city to complete his graduation in Commerce.

Bobby Deol Early Life

Vijay Singh “Bobby” Deol is the second son of legendary actor Dharmendra. It has not been smooth sailing for him in the glittering world. The 49-year-old Indian actor was born on January 27, 1969, to Punjabi Jatt Sikh parents Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur. Bobby Deol’s family originated in Sahnewal, a neighbourhood in Ludhiana.

His older brother is the famous actor Sunny Deol. Vijayta and Ajeeta are Bobby’s two sisters. They have each made California their permanent home. Bobby’s stepmother is the legendary Indian actress Hema Malini. His actresses half-sisters are Ahana Deol and Esha Deol. The actor Abhay Deol is Bobby’s distant cousin on his father’s side.

He wed Tanya Ahuja, daughter of prominent Indian financier Dev Ahuja, on 30 May 1996. Two of his kids, Aryaman and Dharam, were named after Dharmendra.

Bobby Deol Career

Bobby Deol attended both Jamnabai Narsee School (located in Mumbai, Maharashtra) and Mayo College (located in Ajmer, Rajasthan) for his formal education. Mithibai College in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is where the actor earned his bachelor’s degree in commerce.

He started out as a DJ before breaking into the Bollywood industry, but he left after a few negative encounters. His first film role was as a young actor in the Indian film Dharam Veer, released in 1977.

After making his acting debut in the leading role in Barsaat, Bobby has finally found success (1995). For his performance in this film, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Male. Injuring his leg on set of his first leading part in the film Barsaat was a devastating setback. Because of the therapy he needed, he had to be transported to London, delaying the advertising of his film.

In interviews following the premiere of his film “Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya,” he expressed his disappointment with the post-production effects work done on the film’s climactic scene. He felt the aeroplane effect was added too late, much to his dismay. He made his directorial debut with the film “Dillagi,” starring alongside his brother Sunny Deol. After seeing Bobby’s inebriated return home one night, Sunny had the inspiration for the film’s direction. Bob saw a movie for the first time with his sibling for the first time. He was also considered for the lead roles in both “Jab We Met” (2007) and “Highway” (2014), both directed by Imtiaz Ali, but ultimately turned them down. The Bollywood film Shaka Laka Boom Boom marked his first time playing an antagonistic character.
