His father Salim Khan is a prominent screenwriter, and his mother Sushila Charak is a dancer and Bollywood actor; his stepmother is also named Helen Khan. Arbaaz Khan is the second son of Salim Khan and Sushila Charak. He went to the same high school as Bollywood star Salman Khan (Scindia School, Gwalior) and is related to actor/producer Sohail Khan. His sister, Alvira Khan (now Alvira Khan Agnihotri), and his adopted sister, Arpita Khan, are both sisters to him. Actors Atul Agnihotri and Aayush Sharma are his brother-in-law and nephew, respectively.
Arbaaz Khan Career
Starring as a sadistic husband beater, Arbaaz Khan made his acting debut in the 1996 film Daraar. For his portrayal, he won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role. The 1998 film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, for which he was nominated for a Filmfare Award as Best Supporting Actor, and the 2004 film Garv: Pride and Honour, in which he featured against his brother Salman, are just two examples of the many multi-starrer hits in which he has starred.
The 2003 film Qayamat: City Under Threat, in which he played the antagonist, was likewise a commercial success. He has supporting roles in the comedies Hulchul (2004), Malamaal Weekly (2006), and Bhagam Bhag (2008), all directed by Priyadarshan (2006). He had supporting roles in the 2007 blockbusters Shootout at Lokhandwala and Fool and Final, playing a police officer (Constable Javed Shaikh) and a mobster (Moscow Chikna), respectively. He also appeared in the hit film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, alongside his brother Sohail Khan. The film starred Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza. He co-starred with Sohail in 2009’s Kisaan and played the antagonist in that year’s Jai Veeru. Khan has guest-starred on numerous TV shows over the years, including the 2003 series Karishma: The Miracles of Destiny.
Arbaz Khan’s first film as a producer, Dabangg, premiered in September 2010; he formed Arbaaz Khan Productions that same year. Salman played the antagonist Chulbul Pandey while Arbaaz played his younger brother Makhi in the film. ‘Munni Badnaam,’ which included his ex-wife Malaika Arora Khan, was a huge hit. In its first week of release, the picture became a massive financial success, smashing multiple box office records and eventually becoming the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. While visiting Melbourne, Australia, for the Bollywood & Beyond film festival on March 12, 2011, Khan assisted his ex-wife Malaika Arora in breaking a world record. Dances to the song “Munni Badnaam” from the Dabangg soundtrack were performed by people. In 2012, Arbaaz Khan’s first feature film, Dabangg 2: Arbaaz, was released. In Big Brother, starring Mohanlal, Khan will make his first appearance in Malayalam.
