Beauty queen Trisha has been in the industry for over two decades and she did many films in Telugu and Tamil.
Though newcomers are ruling the film industry in Telugu and Tamil, she has become a good choice for many filmmakers.
Now, she made her OTT debut with a Telugu web series titled Brinda streaming now on Sonyliv. This eight-episode series contains 40 minutes each and has a good premise and engaging screenplay.
The story is about Brinda (Trisha) a Sub Inspector. In a murder case, her superiors close the case claiming that a suicide but Brinda comes up that it’s not a suicide and it’s a cold-blooded murder. How the investigation goes on and who the killer is form the rest of the story.
The series is unlike regular investigative thrillers, the series has very good details in the investigation. The pace ebbs and flows in a few episodes but the investigation makes us invested in the series.
Trisha is good as Brinda as she gave a subtle performance. Again Ravinder Vijay shows his mettle in Sarathi’s Character. Indrajith Sukumaran is also good and the rest of the cast is good.’
Technically Brinda is impressive, the visuals are apt for the series and the music is quite different. As a Debutant Surya Manoj Vangala was impressed with his narration. The way he handled a few blocks in the series is appreciable.
Overall, Brinda is a must-watch series for this weekend.
