Chiranjeevi Early Life

His mother suggested he choose the handle “Chiranjeevi,” which means “Immortal,” because their household worshipped the Hindu god Anjaneya. The film Punadhirallu marked the debut of actor Chiranjeevi. The film Pranam Khareedu was, however, his first to be shown in theatres. Chiranjeevi’s name became known to the Telugu public thanks to Bapu’s film Mana Voori Pandavulu. His part in Tayaramma Bangarayya was rather little.

In the films I Love You and K. Balachander’s Idi Katha Kaadu, starring Kamal Haasan, he portrayed the antagonistic role. Chiranjeevi replaced Rajinikanth in the role that Rajinikanth had originated in the original Tamil film Avargal. Chiranjeevi had a total of eight major film releases in 1979, followed by fourteen the following year. Mosagadu, Rani Kasula Rangamma, 47 Natkal /47 Rojulu, Nyayam Kavali, and Ranuva Veeran were only a few of the films in which he had a pivotal antagonistic role.

Chiranjeevi Career

Punadhirallu was Chiranjeevi’s first film. His debut film was actually Pranam Khareedu. Bapu’s Mana Voori Pandavulu was the film that introduced Chiranjeevi to the Telugu audience. Chiranjeevi won the Nandi Award for Best Actor for the first time for his performance in Swayamkrushi (1987), directed by K. Viswanath. There were also a number of successful films released in the ’80s, including Pasivadi Pranam (1987), Yamudiki Mogudu (1988), and Manchi Donga (1988). Chiranjeevi’s film Rudraveena (1988) won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration and the Nandi Special Jury Award.

Approximately eight years passed between Chiranjeevi’s final film role (in 2007’s Shankar Dada Zindabad) and his return to the big screen; throughout that time, he focused on his political career. Lord Manjunatha, his character from Sri Manjunatha, made a brief appearance in the 2013 film Jagadguru Adi Shankara (2001). From 2013 to 2015, he searched for the perfect script for his 150th film, which would mark his comeback to the big screen. Chiranjeevi chose to remake the hugely successful Tamil film Kaththi from 2014 in Telugu for his comeback film. Six months after the debut of Shankar Dada Zindabad in 2017, V. V. Vinayak’s remake, titled Khaidi No. 150, was published to rave reviews over the Sankranti festival. The critics have singled out Chiranjeevi, praising his acting and his appearance, especially considering that he hasn’t been in a movie for ten years.

The opening day total was 41.75 crore, while the total gross was 164 crore. The life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy served as the inspiration for Surender Reddy’s first foray into period filmmaking, titled Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The film’s production cost was over 270, and it made over 240 throughout its theatrical run. This is roughly 286, or $36 million in 2020 dollars. For his next film, Chiranjeevi has enlisted the services of Koratala Siva, who will helm the project titled Acharya.
