Mahadevan Ganesh is the name of Delhi Ganesh’s son, and Thankom Ganesan is the wife of Delhi Ganesh. He served in the Indian Air Force from 1964 to 1974 following graduation. Then, due to his enthusiasm in the film industry, he left his position. Then he worked for a period with the Delhi-based theatrical group Dakshina Bharata Nataka Sabha.

On August 1, 1944, in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India, Delhi Ganesh was born. Now residing in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India is the Delhi Ganesh family. Then he worked for a period with the Delhi-based theatrical group Dakshina Bharata Nataka Sabha.

Balachander introduced him to the Tamil cinema industry in the movie Pattina Pravesam, In the 1981 movie Engamma Maharani, Ganesh played the lead role. His most well-known roles were as a comic or a supporting actor, although he has also played villains in movies like Apoorva Sagodharargal.  For his role in Pasi, he received the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize.

Additionally, he got numerous governmental honors, including the 1994 Kalaimamani award from the previous chief minister J. Jayalalithaa. His most well-known movies include Thenali,  Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Nayakan, Sindhu Bhairavi, and Nayakan. In TV dramas, Delhi Ganesh also made an appearance. Additionally, he played a version of Alfred Pennyworth in the short film What if Batman Was from Chennai. In the 2016 film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, directed by Karthick Naren, he appeared briefly as Sriman the father who reports his kid missing only to learn that he has passed away with Rahman. His son Maha would play the key part in Ennul Aayiram, which he would start producing in 2015.

Delhi Ganesh is a well-known Tamil television actor who has performed in over 8 important serials. He is currently portraying a parent in Sun TV serials like Vasantham and Kasthuri. He has appeared in more than 400 films since 1976. Along with Rahman, he also made an appearance in the short film What if Batman was from Chennai and the Karthick Naren-directed film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. He created Ennul Aayiram, his debut film, in 2015.
