Hrithik Roshan Biography

Hrithik Roshan Education

Hrithik Roshan attended Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai and later transferred to Sydenham College in the same city to earn a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Hrithik Roshan Early Life

Hrithik Roshan was born on 10 January 1974 (age 48 as of 2022) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to Punjabi parents.  Hrithik was mocked by his peers due to the fact that he has two thumbs on his right hand. Since the age of six, he struggled with stammering and would often make up excuses, such as injuries or illnesses, to avoid taking oral exams. But with the aid of speech therapists, he was eventually able to conquer his stammer.

Hrithik made his debut in Bollywood as a child actor when he was just six years old. He earned 100 rupees (about $1.60) for his role in the film Aasha, which featured him in a dance number with Jeetendra. Ten of the popular Hot Wheel cars were the first thing he bought with his own money. Later, he became a regular behind-the-scenes player in a wide range of family-friendly films.

Scoliosis and a herniated disc in Roshan’s spine forced him to stop dancing and doing stunts when he was in his early twenties, against medical advice. On the other hand, despite his many flaws, the actor overcame them and developed into a formidable dancer.

Hrithik studied acting, singing, dancing, fencing, and riding before he broke into Bollywood. His “speaking” was another area he diligently worked on.

Both his father, Rakesh Roshan, and mother, Pinky Roshan, are well-known film directors. His grandfather, J. Om Prakash, was a producer and director as well. Sunaina Roshan is Roshan’s older sister. His uncle on his dad’s side, Rajesh Roshan, is a music director.

Hrithik fell in love with Sussanne Khan at the very first sight when he spotted her at a traffic signal in Mumbai. The two started dating each other and ended getting married on 20 December 2000 at Golden Resorts and Spa. The couple has two sons named Hrehaan and Hridhaan. The couple divorced in November of 2014 after their separation in 2013.

Hrithik Roshan Career

Hrithik, who started out in movies when he was a kid, had his big Bollywood debut in his father’s romantic romance, “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.” The film was so well received that it earned the title of 2000’s highest-grossing movie. The film’s reception was largely positive, solidifying his status as a rising star in Bollywood. And his characteristic dance routines from the song “Ek Pal Ka Jeena” went viral, becoming a huge fad among the young people of the country.

He portrayed a young Muslim child who is radicalised during the Bombay Riots in his second film, Fiza. Hrithik wanted to broaden his acting experience by participating in Fiza. His portrayal of a father in Karan Johar’s family drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham won him widespread acclaim outside of India.

He has played a wide range of characters, including an intellectually disabled youngster in “Koi Mil Gaya” (2003), an emperor in “Jodhaa Akbar” (2008), a quadriplegic in “Guzaarish,” (2010) and a visually impaired guy in “Kaabil,” (2017).

The actor, who played a blind man in the film Kaabil, went on to create the integrated and entertaining “Tactabet” book series, which is available in Braille. He is such a fashion forward figure that he has even started his own clothing line called HRX.
