It is very rare that a movie opens with tremendous reviews but fails at the box office due to audience rejection. One such movie that released recently was the Dulquer Salmaan starrer “Kaantha.”
This film was premiered on many screens across the languages a day before its release and received a terrific response. But the scenario completely changed after its release, and the film went unnoticed within a week in theaters.
The OTT streaming rights for this movie are already acquired for a fancy amount by the Netflix OTT platform. They have now announced that the film will premiere on their platform on December 12, 2025.
