He attended the Hindu College in Amritsar for his undergraduate studies after finishing his secondary education at the Shri Ram Ashram Senior Secondary School in Amritsar, Punjab. He used to compete in singing, dancing, and acting competitions when he was a college student. At that time, he won several awards. He participated in the 2006 season of the MH One comedy reality series “Hasde Hasande Ravo” in Punjabi. He then participated in “The Great Punjabi Comedy Show,” another Punjabi comedy show.
Kapil Sharma Early Life
On April 2, 1981, in Amritsar, Punjab, India, he was born into a Brahmin Punjabi family. His close pals refer to him as “Kappu.” He always dreamed of being a singer, but in the end he decided to become a comedian. He is a multi-talented individual who excels at comedy, acting, and singing. He battled hard throughout his life to provide for his family financially. He used to work in a PCO when he was in the tenth standard. He also spent a few months working in a textile mill. After that, he began performing in theatre and small performances. Later, he started taking part in comedy events and became very successful. He has a close relationship with his family and constantly attributes his achievement to his mother. He received a prize of Rs. 10 lakh for winning the comedy reality competition “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge,” which he used to pay for his sister’s wedding. Kapil has advocated for the adoption of stray cats and dogs as well as animal rescue. Additionally, he has advocated for the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” to maintain a clean society.
Kapil Sharma Career
He competed in and won the third season of the Hindi comedic reality series “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” in 2007. He also appeared in numerous more comedy programmes, including Star Ya Rockstar (2009), Hans Baliye (2009), Comedy Circus (2010–2013), and Ustaadon Ka Ustaad (2009–2009). (2011). He served as host of the comic TV programme Chhote Miyan in 2008. Along with TV host Manish Paul, he also served as host of the sixth season of the dance reality series “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” in 2013.
He made his acting debut in the Bollywood movie “Bhavnao Ko Samjho” in 2010, playing Thakur’s son. He won Comedy Circus competitions for six seasons in a row, including Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars (2010), Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo (2010), Jubilee Comedy Circus (2010–2011), Comedy Circus Ke Taansen (2011), Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur (2011), and Kahani Comedy Circus Ki (2012).
Later, he established K9 Productions, his own production firm. He began presenting his own comedy programme, “Comedy Nights with Kapil,” which was produced by his production company and aired on Colors TV in 2013. Later, it rose to become India’s top-rated scripted television programme. The programme operated effectively for three years, however in 2016 it was cancelled owing to disagreements with Colors TV.
He presided over various award ceremonies, including the 61st Filmfare Awards in 2016, the 62nd Filmfare Awards in 2017, the Star Guild Awards in 2015, the 22nd Star Screen Awards in 2016, and the 60th Filmfare Awards in 2015. In the Bollywood movie “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon,” he was cast in the lead character of “Shivkumar Ramkrishan Punj” in 2015. Despite the fact that the movie was given a legal warning by the court for its resemblance to the Kannada movie Nimbehuli (2014). Critics gave the movie favourable reviews.
He began hosting The Kapil Sharma Show, a comedy programme that aired on Sony Entertainment Television, in 2016, but the programme was cancelled in August 2017 due to his health problems.
