Karthi Upcoming Tamil Movies List: As Karthi continues to ride the wave of popularity from his film Kaithi, for which his fans have been patiently waiting, pre-production on a sequel is well underway, and we may soon receive formal word. Keep checking back for updates on when his upcoming films will be released, but in the meantime, don’t miss his latest, highly awaited feature, Ponniyin Selvan, which opens in theatres on September 30, 2022.
On the film Aayutha Ezhuthu, he worked as an assistant director alongside director Mani Ratnam. A role in the same film had been offered to Karthi by Mani Ratnam earlier, but he declined and instead remained on set as an assistant. In 2006, Karthi was cast as the main character in Paruthiveeran, director Ameer’s third feature film. Karthi gets some advice from his dad and bro before starting his acting career in Ameer for Paruthiveeran.
With its 2007 debut, Paruthiveeran immediately established itself as a fan favorite. A number of awards were given to Karthi, including Best Actor and Best Debut in Filmfare. After that, he collaborated with Selvaraghvan on the delayed fantasy film Aayirathil Oruvan. Simultaneously, he co-starred with Lingusamy in the romantic drama Payya. Both of these movies made their debut in 2010, and they both went on to become huge financial successes.
