Lakshmi Manchu Early Life
Actor Mohan Babu and his wife, Vidya Devi, have a daughter whom they named Lakshmi Manchu. She is one of three siblings; her brothers are Vishnu and Manoj Manchu. She is trilingual (Tamil, Telugu, and English) and was born in Chennai. In 2006, Manchu wed Andy Srinivasan, an information technology (IT) expert from Chennai. The couple’s surrogate gave birth to a daughter. They have made Hyderabad their home.
Lakshmi Manchu Career
Manchu, who began acting at age 4, has appeared in 20 films in India and a handful of small parts on American television. She and her family co-own Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures, a studio that has released 56 features. She successfully tried out for a part in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Kadal, which was released in December 2011, and was cast in the role. Expecting this film to be her big break, she played Celina, a poor village woman, but after its release, she received few acting offers in Tamil.
She co-starred in the film “Monster” with Malayalam megastar Mohanlal. Uu Kodathara? (2008), Nenu Meeku Telusa…? (2008), and Jhummandi Naadam (2010). She has produced the movies Ulikki Padathara? (2012), Gundello Godari (2013), and Dongaata (2015).
