Madhavan Education

The family of R. Madhavan is Tamil Brahmin. Ranganathan Seshadri, his father, was an executive with Tata Steel. At the Bank of India, Saroja, his mother, worked as a manager. Devika, his sister, is a software engineer. In 1991, while teaching communication to students at a public speaking program in Mumbai, Madhavan first saw Sarita Birje. Following the completion of Sarita’s education, the couple began dating and were married in 1999. Vedaant, the couple’s son, was born.

Madhavan Early Life

When he was in college, he actively participated in extracurricular military training because his first goal was to join the Indian Army. When he was 22 years old, he was recognised as one of Maharashtra’s top NCC cadets and won a trip to England with seven other cadets. He trained there alongside members of the British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force. He was six months over the age cutoff, thus he was unable to enroll in the program.

Following his return to India, Madhavan opened a workshop in Kolhapur where he taught public speaking and personality development techniques. Then, to pursue a post-graduate degree in Public Speaking, he enrolled himself at Mumbai’s Kishinchand Chellaram College. Madhavan had the opportunity to represent India at the Young Businessmen Conference in Tokyo, Japan in 1992 when he was pursuing his post-graduate degree. He established his modeling portfolio in the meanwhile.

Madhavan Career

In 1996, Madhavan began his modeling career. His very first modeling job netted him Rs. 100 for a talcum powder commercial. After then, he had a few cameos in TV series like “Yule Love Stories,” “Banegi Apni Baat,” and “Ghar Jamai.”

He thereafter became well-known in the Tamil film industry because to Mani Ratnam’s “Alaipayuthey” (2000). Later, he performed noteworthy roles in “Minnale” and “Dumm Dumm Dumm.” He found commercial success in 2002 thanks to his part in the action film “Run.” He received two prizes for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Anbe Sivam, in which he co-starred in with Kamal Hassan. He portrayed the villain in the 2004 Tamil film “Aayutha Ezhuthu.” He received his first Filmfare Award for the movie.

With the release of “Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein” in 2001, Madhavan made his Bollywood film debut. The following three immensely popular movies—”Rang De Basanti” (2006), “Guru” (2007), and “3 Idiots”—all featured him in minor roles (2009).

He starred in the romantic comedy “Tanu Weds Manu” in 2011. Both the movie and his performance were commercial successes. He then took a break from acting for three years before coming back to the big screen. He played Manoj “Manu” Sharma in “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” in 2015, and his film Rocketry became a worldwide hit.
