Mahie Gill Biography
Mahie Gill Education
Mahie Gill completed her education at Chandigarh’s St. Kabir Public School. Gill earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology, English, and Sociology from the Government College for Girls in Chandigarh after completing her formal education. She continued on to Panjab University in Chandigarh to complete her master’s degree in theater.
Mahie Gill Early Life
Mahie Gill was born into a Jatt Sikh family from Punjab. Her mother is a lecturer, and her father served as the Punjab Government’s deputy economic advisor. Her father is no longer with us. Shivinder Gill and Navnit Gill are her two brothers. She goes by the name Rimpy.
Mahie Gill married when she was only 18 years old, but their relationship did not last. The couple ultimately divorced.
Mahie disclosed in July 2019 that she was living with a Hindu Boy from Jammu who is based in Goa. Hotels and casinos are owned by her lover all throughout Goa. She added that her daughter, who will turn three in August 2019, is a family member.
Mahie Gill Career
After receiving her diploma, Mahie took the exam for the OTA (Officers Training Academy), a three-month training programme to become an army officer, and she was also accepted. She left the training though since she had an accident in practise. She performed in several plays as she worked toward her master’s degree at Panjab University.
Mahie Gill launched her debut in 2003 with the Punjabi movie “Hawayein.”
2009 saw her make her Bollywood debut in “Dev.D,” directed by Anurag Kashyap. She received the Filmfare Award in addition to receiving praise for her performance in the movie. After Anurag seen her dancing at a club, he gave her the character of “Paro.” She received both critical and popular praise for her performance in “Dev.D,” and in 2011 she repeated her triumph in “Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster.” She also appeared in “Not A Love Story” that same year. Prior to the 2002 Punjab assembly election, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in February 2022.
