Mukesh Bhatt Early Life

Bhatt’s father, Nanabhai Bhatt (1915–1999), was a director and producer of Hindi films. His family came from Gujarat, India; his father was a Brahmin and his mother was a Muslim. Balwant Bhatt (1909-1965), Nanabhai’s brother, was also a prominent figure in the Hindi film industry. Nilima Bhatt, his wife, is his wife now. Bhatt’s children are a girl named Sakshi and a son named Vishesh. The production company now known as Vishesh Films is named after him. Mukesh and his brother Mahesh ran Vishesh films together for 30 years. However, Mukesh Bhatt took over Vishesh films and publicly proclaimed that Mahesh Bhatt was no longer involved with the firm in May 2021 due to conflicts between the brothers.

Mukesh Bhatt Career

Jurm (1990), starring Vinod Khanna, was Bhatt’s first picture as a producer, however, it was a flop. Next, he worked with Gulshan Kumar to create the romantic drama Aashiqui (1990), starring newcomers Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal. Mahesh Bhatt, his sibling, directed the movie. All of the movies that came out after Aashiqui were box office smashes. Some of the films that were out under the Vishesh Films brand were Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin (1991) and Sadak (1991). Pooja Bhatt co-starred in all of these films with big names like Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt.

Bhatt continued making movies with actors like Naseeruddin Shah in 1993’s Sir, along with Naajayaz (1995), Criminal (1995), and Fareb (1997). The producer’s 1998 film Ghulam was very successful. The producer’s 1999 film Sangharsh starred Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar, and his 2002 horror picture Raaz and its 2009 sequel Raaz: The Mystery Continues were also critically acclaimed. His nephew Emraan Hashmi made his cinematic debut alongside Bipasha Basu in 2004’s Footpath. Zeher (2005), Kalyug (2005), Gangster (2006), Woh Lamhe (2006), Jannat (2008), Tum Mile (2009), and Crook (2009) are only some of his more recent efforts as a producer (2010).

Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2015), starring Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan, was a co-production between him and his brother Mahesh Bhatt. The film is inspired by the real-life romance between Bhatt’s father, Nanabhai Bhatt, and his stepmother, Shirin Mohammad Ali.
