First appearing in the 1984 Malayalam film “Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu” starring Mohanlal and Padmini, Nadiya Moidu quickly became a fan favorite. She first appeared in public in 1985, in the remade Tamil film Poove Poochudava (originally titled Nokkethadhoorathu Kannum Nattu). With the 1988 film Bazaar Rowdy, she debuted in the Telugu language. After relocating to the United States, she appeared in a slew of films under the stipulation that filming is wrapped before the end of her vacation. Under the same terms, she appeared in the Tamil films “Chinna Madam” (1994) and “Rajakumaran” (1994). She then took a nearly decade-long hiatus from acting until returning in the 2004 Tamil film “M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi.”
Moidu has appeared in movies primarily in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, as well as one Indian English-language film titled “Wonder Women” (2020; available on SonyLIV).

The Tamil movies “Nilave Malare” (1986) and “Anbulla Appa” (1987), the Telugu movies “Attarintiki Daredi” (2013) and “Ghani” (2022), and the Malayalam movie “Bheeshma Parvam” (1996) are some of her most well-known works (2022).

In 2021, Nadiya co-starred with Garggi Ananthan in the Malayalam short film “Oru Paathiraa Swapnam Pole.” In 2022, she co-starred with Joju George in the anthology series “Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa,” which debuted on Amazon Prime Video on January 14 and consisted of five episodes. Nadiya first appeared on screen in 2010 when she hosted the game program “Jackpot” on the Indonesian channel Jaya TV. On the Malayalam talk show “Veruthe Alla Bharya” (2015), broadcast on the Mazhavil Manorama network, and on the Asianet program “Comedy Stars Season 2” (2019), she served as a judge. She had a small role in several episodes of the Tamil TV serial “Roja.”
