On September 9, 1977, Nandha Durairaj entered this world in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The Nandha Durairaj family has relocated to Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Their names are Durairaj and Rani, and they are his parents. His sibling’s name is Karthik, and he has one. Not only that, but he is the grandson of the late politician M. Kannappan. Producer S. Thanu first saw Nandha Durairaj during a family gathering. Then, he enrolled at Chennai’s Film Institute and spent a year studying acting, earning a diploma in the process. Filmmaker Ameer discovered him at the premiere of director D. Sabapathy’s film “Punnagai poove,” and cast him as Suriya’s companion in the film “Mounam Pesiyadhe.”
The film “Eeram,” in which he co-starred with Aadhi Pinisetty and was directed by Shankar, was a smashing success. In “Anandhapurathu Veedu,” directed by Naga and produced by Shankar, he reprises his role. In the years that followed, he appeared in films such as Vellore Mavattam and Vandhan Vendran alongside Jiiva. In 2018, he co-starred with actor Suriya in the smash hit “Thaana sent Kootam,” directed by Vignesh Shivan and following on from the success of Mounam Pesiyade. Nandha Durairaj also acted in the first Tamil web series created by Ekta Kapoor for Balaji Telefilms, “Kaushiki,” directed by Kaushik.
