She attended Jai Hind College in Mumbai after growing up in the Oil India township of Duliajan in Assam. She started her start in the business doing commercials and performing with her band, Manu and Chow.

On June 17, 1989 (as of 2020, she will be 31 years old), in the Oil India settlement of Duliajan, Assam, was born Plabita Borthakur. She grew up in Guwahati, Kamrup, Assam. She received her elementary through secondary education at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Duliajan and then continued on to Jai Hind College in Mumbai.
Plabita’s musical interests blossomed early on thanks to her father, a musician. She excelled in academics, but she also participated actively in sports and the arts while in school. Playing Anushka Sharma’s younger sister, Plabita made her acting debut in 2014. Later, in the film “Lipstick Under My Burkha,” she portrayed the character “Rehana Abidi.” Both “Waah Zindagi” and “Chhote Nawab” included her as well.
