Nainar Mohammad and Zeenat Priya were born to his second marriage to actress Padma Jyoti, which took place the same year.

Raj Kiran Career

For his debut, Raj Kiran produced two Ramarajan-starring films, and he even made a cameo appearance in one of them. In 1991, he produced and starred in the drama film En Rasavin Manasile, directed by Kasthuri Raja, which celebrated its silver jubilee.

With his performance, he was honoured with the Cinema Express – Best New Face Award and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize. The films Aranmanai Kili (1993) and Ellame En Rasathan (1995), in which he directed, produced, and starred, both enjoyed successful silver jubilee runs.

The 1996 film he was in, Manikkam, only made a mediocre amount of money. He started working in Pasamulla Pandiyare the next year. Unfortunately, the film bombed at the box office.

He began acting in films in the middle of 1998, with roles in Ponnu Velayira Bhoomi and a cameo in Veera Thalattu, both directed by Kasthuri Raja. At the close of 1998, he starred in the critically acclaimed film Thalaimurai. After an extended absence of three years, he made his acting comeback with Bala’s Nandha and Cheran’s Pandavar Bhoomi.

Both received positive reviews from critics and sold well at stores. His work in the film Thavamai Thavamirundhu (2005) earned him the Filmfare Best Tamil Supporting Actor Award, while his performance in Pandavar Bhoomi (2007) earned him the Tamil Nadu government’s Best Actor award (2001).
