Sadhu Kokila Early Life
Sadhu Kokila, formerly known as Sahaya Sheelan, was born on March 24, 1966, in Bangalore, Mysore, India, to Natesh and Mangala, two Tamil nadaar Christians (now Karnataka). His mother and sister are both playback singers, and his father is a violinist in the music band of the Karnataka Police Department. Sadhu Kokila has a brother in the business named Layendra. Kokila attended St. Joseph’s Indian High School in the Indian city of Bangalore. Sheelan’s first film’s director Upendra gave him the moniker Sadhu Kokila as his character’s stage name.
Kokila’s brother took him to musician Kasturi Shankar, who inspired him to pursue music. When it comes to playing the keyboard, he is also among India’s best. The year 1993 marked Kokila’s marriage to Saleena. Suraag and Srujan are their two offspring.
Sadhu has been nominated for several South Indian International Movie Awards and won the IIFA Award for Best Comedian for his role in Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari, as well as the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Music Director for the films Rakshasa (2005) and Inthi Ninna Preethiya (2008). (2014). Commercially successful films such as Raktha Kanneeru (2003) and Rakshasa are also among his directorial credits.
