Sayaji Shinde grew up in the small Indian town of Vele-Kamthi in the state of Maharashtra. His first job, in 1978, was as a watchman for the state of Maharashtra’s Irrigation department. While he was employed as a guard, he developed a passion for performing that ultimately led him to relocate to Mumbai and pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
