Sembaruthi (Zee Tamil)
Parvathi, a young woman from the village, joins the household of the wealthy ‘Aadhikadavur’ Akhilandeshwari as a maid (Akhila). Then Parvathi meets Adhitya, Akhila’s son, and the two of them end up being married behind Akhila’s back. Akhila learns of the wedding, and immediately develops hatred for Parvathi. As a result, Adhi and Parvathi pack up their belongings and move to a rented home to start afresh. Adhi and Parvathi are finally welcomed and hosted by Akhilandeshwari.

Sembaruthi Story
“Aadhikadavur” Quite simply, Akhilandeshwari is a very wealthy lady. Since her grandmother has passed away, Parvathi has taken a job as a maid in the home of Akhilandeshwari. Meanwhile, Akhilandeshwari is a strong-willed, stubborn lady who wants perfection in everything. The pivotal change occurs when Akhilandeshwari’s son Adhitya secretly marries Parvathi. Sundaram, Parvathi’s father, worked for the household of Akhilandeshwari as a driver for 21 years. He loves Akhilandeshwari dearly but has no idea that Parvathi has feelings for Adhitya. On the flip side, they marry in secret, with only Adhitya’s father Purshothaman, Aadhitya’s brother Arun, and Arun’s wife Aishwariya aware of the nuptials. The marriage is approved by Akhilandeshwari’s father. Akhilandeshwari is kept in the dark by the three of them. Adhitya and Parvathi face turmoils in their marital love life due to the evil woman Vanaja, who is the sister of Akhilandeshwari.
