With almost 700 films under his belt, Shakti is best known for his comedic and villainous portrayals. He is widely regarded as a major Bollywood villain of the ’90s. His films “ChaalBaaz” (1989), “Raja Babu” (1994), “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994), “Coolie No. 1” (1995), “Judwaa” (1997), “Gunda” (1998), and “Hungama” (2000) are all considered to be classics in the Hindi film industry (2003). His lines “Aaaooo Lolita” from the movie Tohfa (1984), “Main Nanha sa Chotta sa Bachcha Hoon” from the movie “ChaalBaaz” (1989), and “Nandu sabka bandhu, samajhta nahi hai yaar” from the film “Raja Babu” (1992) all became huge hits with audiences (1994).
