In the 2000 Tamil-Hindi bilingual film Hey Ram, directed by Kamal Haasan, she made her first appearance in front of an audience. In the film, she portrayed the role of Vallabhbhai Patel’s daughter. In the 2009 Hindi film ‘Luck,’ which included a plethora of other actors, she made her first appearance in a prominent role. In fact, the film’s director and co-star, boyhood buddy Imran Khan, suggested her when casting began. As expected, the picture bombed at the box office, and she took a lot of heat from respected journalists in India for her subpar performance.
‘Anaganaga O Dheerudu’ (2011) was her first film, and she co-starred with Siddharth. The picture opened to positive reviews, and she was singled out for particular praise.
