Sundar C’s education details are not available as A former assistant to Manivannan, Sundar C made his directorial debut with the film Murai Maman (1995). To portray the lead role in his film, Sundar stated, he initially approached Sarathkumar, a major action hero, but the producer was unable to contract the actor. The director then cast Jayaram as the film’s protagonist and explained that he drew on Jayaram’s “innate sense of humour.”

Sundar C. was born in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India on January 21st, 1968. He is a member of the Pillai ethnic group. He got his start in the industry working for actor-turned-director Manivannan as an AD. Murai Maman (Tamil), a film he directed in 1996, was his first. Ullathai Allitha, Arunachalam, and Anbe Sivam are just a few of the subsequent comedic feature films he directed.
Sundar C Career
The critically acclaimed film Thalainagaram (2006) marked his first performance in the leading role. After that, he starred in the critically acclaimed films Badri’s Veerappu and Sakthi Chidambaram’s Sandai. Later, with Nagaram Marupakkam, he returned to directing. Kalakalappu (2012), Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru (2013), Aranmanai (2014), and Kalakalappu 2 (2016) are just some of his most acclaimed works.
After his debut as an actor in the commercial flop Thalai Nagaram (2006), he took a brief sabbatical from directing. Kalakalappu (2012), return to directing, was a modest success thanks to the director’s signature comic roller coaster. The Aranamanai films were the next step in his prolific career as a filmmaker (2014).
He and his wife, actress Kushboo, co-produced the Sun TV series Nandini. He was the first person to simultaneously develop a TV series in four languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada). After only a few weeks on air, the show has become India’s most-watched TV series and a critical and commercial triumph. Hello Naan Pei Pesuren, Muthina Kathirika, and Meesaya Murukku are just a few of the films he created. Sundar C is one of the rare filmmakers to have directed both Rajinikanth (in Arunachalam, 1997) and Kamal Haasan (in Anbe Sivam, 2003), two of Tamil cinema’s biggest stars.
Together, he and Kushboo, an actress and producer, have two children. The couple raises two young women, Avanthika and Ananditha. Avni Cinemax is run by a group of couples who are all in on the business.
