Suresh Gopi Wiki and Biography: Born on June 26, 1959, Suresh Gopinathan is an Indian actor, politician, and musician who goes by the stage name Suresh Gopi. He has appeared in more than 200 Malayalam movies. He presently serves as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Rajya Sabha, the Indian Parliament’s upper house.

In 1965, Suresh Gopi made his acting debut as a young child by taking up a little part in Odayil Ninnu. Later, in 1986, he made his adult acting debut in Niramulla Raavukal in an uncredited part. In the modest role of a potential groom in T. P. Balagopalan, M. A., he attracted attention (1986). Throughout the late 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s, Suresh Gopi went on to play a few villains and a lot of supporting characters. He was well-known for playing the bad guy in Irupatham Nootandu (1987).

At the time, it was the most successful Malayalam film. He played Harry, a significant supporting character, in Oru CBI Diary Kurippu (1988), the highest-grossing movie at the time. Over the years, Gopi’s humorous portrayal of Sub Inspector Minnal Prathapan in Manu Uncle (1988) has grown in popularity.

Suresh Gopi had his debut in 1992’s Thalastaanam, directed by Shaji Kailas and written by Renji Panicker, after appearing in more than 80 films. Through the film Ekalavyan, Suresh Gopi became a leading man in Malayalam cinema (1993). Renji Panicker and Shaji Kailas both contributed to the writing and directing of this criminal drama. Ekalavyan successfully finished 150 days in theatres and broke numerous box office records.  Suresh Gopi became an overnight sensation in the 1990s because to the Shaji-Renji combination flicks, especially for his performances as cops and soldiers. He played the lead in Mafia, a Shaji-Renji criminal thriller that was hugely popular at the movie office, back in 1993.

In the same year, he costarred with Mohanlal and Shobhana as Nakulan in Manichitrathazhu, a psychological thriller regarded as one of the greatest Malayalam films ever made by Fazil. In the box office success Kashmeeram (1994), he portrayed an NSG commando. The movie Commissioner (1994) is likely responsible for Suresh Gopi becoming a superstar in Malayalam cinema. In this additional Shaji-Renji murder thriller, which is regarded as a cult classic, he played Bharath Chandran I.P.S. In the 1995 film Highway, which was in theatres for more than 100 days, he portrayed a RAW cop.
