Sushin Shyam Career

At age 19, Sushin began his cinematic career under Deepak Dev’s tutelage. For more than 45 films in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu, he programmed the soundtracks over a period of four years. In 2012, he worked with Ganesh Raj (Aanandam’s director) on the short film “Oru kutti chodyam,” for which he composed the score.

In 2013, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi’s main guitarist, Rex Vijayan, asked Sushin to programme the film’s background score. The film was directed by Vijayan. Thaazhvaram was another song he sang for that film. After meeting Rex, who inspired him to write the score for Anil Radhakrishnan Menon’s 2014 film “Sapthamashree Thaskaraha,” Sushin’s career took off. This would mark his debut as a composer working on a self-directed album.

‘Kayi Ethum Doorathonde’ was his second film soundtrack single. Soon after, in 2015, he scored Anil Radhakrishnan Menon’s Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi with a score of his own composition. His second project, ‘Kismath,’ was for an inexperienced filmmaker named Shanavas. The audience loved the score and the song “Kisa Pathiyil.” Sushin’s subsequent viral masterpiece was Manu Joseph’s “Vicky.” Jay.K. has most recently directed the horror mystery film “Ezra.” He wrote two songs and the film’s score. Both “Thambiraan” and “Irulu Neelum Raave” were eerily effective soundtrack selections. Grandmaster, Thattathin Marayathu, Da Thadiya, Honey Bee, and Guppy all featured brief cameos from him.
