Apeejay School, where Tisca’s father served as principal, was Tisca’s alma mater. She graduated with a degree in English Literature from Hindu College, which is part of Delhi University. She also began contributing to various periodicals and performing in amateur productions about this time. Later, she travelled to Mumbai to further her acting education and career. She was connected with theatre companies of Feroz Abbas Khan and Naseeruddin Shah.
