ETV OTT Platform: With the covid-19 pandemic, people has started relying on digital streaming platforms in search of entertainment. Mainly the Indian audience have become habitual to watch web series, shows, movies, originals and web-based films to kill time at homes. Currently, Indian streaming market has dozens of OTT platforms like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hotstar, Zee5, Aha, Sony Liv are some of the prominent platforms. Now the renowned media personality “Ramoji Rao” is soon venturing into digital space and the arrangements are being made.
While many wondering what was stopping ETV from launching its own OTT platform when they have channels in all languages and vast collection of movies, they have now decided to launch a new OTT platform especially for Telugu content, as per the reports. We all know, ETV has a vast collection of movies which are signed for long time. Also, Several classic Telugu films are available only with ETV. Moreover, Ramoji Rao even produced closed to 100 movies on Ushakiran Movies banner. So, we can expect all this entertainment stuff on this new OTT platform by ETV.
Latest reports suggest that ETV is also in plans to invest Rs 200 crores to produce web series, web-based movies and other talk shows. They are also keen to acquire the streaming rights of small-budget films. The production house also zeroed in some of the scripts that will have a direct digital release on the OTT platform. More details about this digital platform will be announced very soon.
On the other side, ETV already owns an app called ETV Win, launched in 2019 on Android, iOS and available across web browsers. The users of the platform can make use of PCs, mobile phones, tablets and television screens to watch the Telugu content. Since this App is not successful as expected, ETV is planning to come up with a new OTT app and the launch will be very soon.
